It took us a freaking long time and plenty of rejections along the way just to derive onto this central theme Wave. There were lots of ideas being rejected and scraped and removed and trashed for the two days. Not to mention, the numerous amount of proposals done and rejected, just so that we can carry out the activities smoothly.Even right up to the last minute, our proposals were still rejected.
I was in Group A where everyone had opted SA,student activity as their priority choice for the wing they are interested in. I must say this camp really reminded me of uniform group. Everyone is so bonded, disciplined and showed lots of initiative throughout the mass(y)discussions. It kind of suit me well because this is the ideal group of people i enjoyed working with. If I were to comment on what is memorable, i think its the process that i had been with my group that is more memorable as compared to the finale activity.
There was the interview during the camp as well. I am kind of relieved now that it was over. It went quite smoothly like no funny and challenging questions coming out like "do you want to be the president of the SC' neither did i recieve those Ten year series type of questions like "why should we allow you to join council." I got something more unique. Because they asked me to describe myself and i said i considered myself to be a creative person. Then the interviewer asked me to choose any two objecct within the room and make a link between them. So i chose a black stain on the floor and his shoes. And my link was maybe the black color of the shoe sole is wearing off and it was his shoes plus water that caused the stain since there were footprint leading to where he was seating and the stain was mostly concentrated at where his legs when he is sitting down. Then interviewers laughed.
lastly for the camp, there was the Finale. We had prayer service and a journey thing to reflect on ourselves for the past two days in camp. Song and cheer session where we had some cheers like. CJC UNITE!!! WAVE ON... it was something like the flame on thing. We sang 'passed it on" and the college anthem as well. Then enjoyed a mini skit and it was Fondue for the food session. The chocolate fondue session was organised by my group and we see the various type of fruit and mashmallow coming together on a stick coated with chocolate fludge as uniting together. Doesnt sound very sound but everything we do must have some link back to the central theme of wave.
