i kind of agree to what linderman says about life. You can either choose to have a life of happiness or a life of meaning. You cant have both. Like how i try to be greedy and have everything to myself. Turns out so wrong, like some chain reaction. I somehow lost what i originally had.
Having a life of happiness means forgetting everything else there is and just live life as it is with no worries. Probably the life lead wont be very purposeful as you really need to live life without any burdens, responsibility and meaning to it.
having life with meaning to it only make us more troubled as we really have to face reality. To achieve something big, there must be lots of responsiblity and burdens, thus not a really happy life. Knowing more makes us more prone to corruptivity, can we still be happy about that?
you can try to go and achieve both at the same time, but eventually one side will overpower the other without you noticing it. well maybe doing volunteer work might give us both, but truth is can you still support your own life eventually? like how can being happy fill your stomach?
its all perspective. as long as we can justify our stand, there is no right or wrong to it
